DAF tractors join Ruta Transport family

Ruta Transport has expanded its fleet with the latest DAF tractors. Advanced safety systems to improve driver comfort and driving economy were decisive factors in choosing this brand. The DAF XG 480FT 4X2 tractors are equipped with, among other things, an emergency braking system, distance detection from the vehicle ahead and lane change assistance. DAF corner view and DAF digital vision have a corresponding camera system replacing the mirrors and, combined with the huge windscreen, significantly improve visibility. 

The new DAFs meet Euro 6 emission standards and support the driver in achieving the most economical driving style with the Eco Fuel mode in the powertrain, aerodynamic design and driver performance assistant (DPA). 

Driving modern equipment means a higher level of comfort for the driver, who drives in a spacious cabin and on ventilated seats, while at night he enjoys the additional protection of the cabin and rests on a comfortable bed.

Today, Ruta Transport's fleet consists of 170 tractor-trailer combinations and Spitzer silo trailers (horizontal silos, so-called lower silos, with capacities of 34 m³ and 37 m³, and lifting silos, so-called kipping silos, with capacities of 45 m³ and 60 m³). 82% of Scania tractors and 18% of DAF tractors drive on European routes under the Ruta Transport label. The company will replace up to 30% of its fleet by 2023, thereby increasing the proportion of more fuel-efficient vehicles and significantly reducing its carbon footprint.

Ruta Transport specialises in the national and international road transport of neutral bulk materials of mineral origin in silos. It also transports feed ingredients and neutral chemical materials. 

The company has 250 employees, including 182 drivers. It is distinguished in the transport market by the fact that the average length of service of a driver here is six years. Since 2020, the company's trainer has been developing training courses on safe and economical driving and is responsible for conducting them among all newly recruited drivers.
