Jubilee on two tausend wheels
Ruta Transport is celebrating thirty-five years in road transport in silos.
Ruta Transport is celebrating its 35th anniversary in the market. The company specialises in national and international road transport of neutral bulk materials in silos. The company has a fleet of almost 170 road truck and trailer combinations and employs more than 230 employees. Since 2018, it has offered a Spitzer Silo-Fahrzeugwerke silo semi-trailer service and a silo and tank washing facility in a modern office and service complex. In addition to its commercial activities, Ruta is involved in social activities.
Dynamic and consistent development
In 1987, Wojciech Ruta founded his own transport company in Mińsk Mazowiecki, which offered bulk cement transport from 1993 onwards. After a further four years, the company purchased its first new Scania P114G semi-trailer tractor and, in 2002, its first new cement trailer from Spitzer Silo-Fahrzeugwerke. At the same time, the company has ensured that it has an efficient technical base thanks to a service agreement with Spitzer signed in 2005. Since then, Ruta Transport has been an authorised service point for Spitzer Silo-Fahrzeugwerke silo trailers in Poland. The partnership with Scania and Spitzer has allowed the company to grow with the best equipment available on the market.
The year 2004 was another milestone in the company's history, as it began operating on the international road transport market, winning an ever-widening circle of customers. That year, Ruta Transport also purchased a new transport base in Mińsk Mazowiecki. The construction of a modern office and service complex with a total area of 2 200 m2 began eleven years later. The new office, service and specialised silo and tank washing facility has been in operation since 2018.
Ruta Transport's fleet comprises 165 tractor and trailer combinations: tractor units from Scania and silo semi-trailers from Spitzer Silo-Fahrzeugwerke. Semi-trailers with different capacities (non-tipping silo semi-trailers, so-called tank semi-trailers, with capacities of 34 m3 and 37 m3, and tipping silos with capacities of 45 m3 and 60 m3) allow us to offer tailor-made solutions for different industries. The company has become a specialist in the transport of mineral materials in recent years, but also transports feed ingredients and neutral chemical materials.
Most of the tractors in Ruta Transport's fleet meet the Euro 6 emission standard, and drivers receive training in economical and safe driving. The tractors are equipped with modern telematics equipment. They allow constant monitoring of the vehicle, driver and customer order. Fleet information is accessed in real time, anywhere, and drivers receive dispatcher support even after working hours.
The company's quality policy has resulted in a consistent increase in the number of orders, with nearly 34 000 orders in 2021. This means that some 900 000 tonnes of material were transported over routes covering some 20 million kilometres. The number of regular customers of Ruta Transport in Poland and Europe is also growing steadily and is now more than 100.
Employees are an investment
Today, the management board of Ruta sp. j. includes the president, Wojciech Ruta, and his two sons: Michał Ruta - transport director and Grzegorz Ruta - commercial director. The company employs 180 drivers, 35 office staff and more than 20 transport centre attendants, including mechanics and washing facility staff. The close-knit team holds extensive and specialised industry knowledge. As the company grows, more professionals join the team.
Ruta Transport is investing in employees. It provides them with comfortable working conditions, private healthcare packages and training to meet defined needs. For example, Ruta Transport's drivers have an average length of service of six years, which distinguishes the company among employers in the transport industry.
Shortening distances
Ruta's company motto is these short words - we shorten the distance. They illustrate the company's competence as a reliable link between the manufacturer and the buyer of goods. In its activities, Ruta Transport also shortens social distances, supports education and local initiatives and promotes its home town of Mińsk Mazowiecki. Within the framework of cooperation agreements concluded, students of the Vocational Schools Complex No. 2 and the Economic Schools Complex in Mińsk Mazowiecki undergo apprenticeships at the company. Successful students can receive funding for driving courses and even find employment in a company.
